In Windows Vista, turning off the Tablet PC Components also removes the Snipping Tool. This is not the case in Windows 7, where the Snipping Tool is integrated with the Operating System.

Those who use the Snipping Tool but don’t use other Tablet PC features, can remove Tablet PC Components with no problems.
Note: Snipping Tool is available only in the Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate editions of Windows 7.

@John: I tested it twice after seeing your post, and you’re correct. All it freed up was just 3 MB of disk space, although many files in the “Ink” folder were removed. I stand corrected.
Frees up 40MB disk space? Are you sure turning Windows features actually removes the feature? I don’t know about Windows 7 but in Windows Vista turning feature off only turns it off and does not remove it. Just a couple of shortcuts go and that’s all.
