Since Internet Explorer 7, the Go and Refresh buttons have been combined into one dynamic control, unlike other Web browsers which have a Refresh/Reload button on the left side of the Address Bar. There is a new setting in Internet Explorer 8 that lets you show the Stop and Refresh buttons before the Address Bar (while still retaining the Go button), as in other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome etc.
Start Internet Explorer 8. Right-click on an empty area in the Menu bar or Favorites bar area, click Customize, and enable the option Show Stop and Refresh Buttons before Address Bar.

Refresh and Stop buttons are shown on the left of the Address bar

IE8 (Beta 2)

(Mozilla Firefox)

(Google Chrome Beta)
