Comments on: Restore Point Creation Disabled by Group Policy

I did this and I am still blocked from restore totally. It’s a home system running Vistas Home Premium. Restore is always on but when I went to restore from an earlier date 4 days ago it told me restore was turned off. And when I try to turn it on group policy blocks me. I tried typing in “gpedit.msc” in the search area and it finds nothing. I went into regedit as detailed above, deleted the one file there and it changed nothing. I’ve seen suggestions to go into local security but that is not coming up under the Admin page. And the DL mentioned above, when I click it it just opens a new type with the commands typed out.

Help please?

After deleting the entry and and merging and manually create restore pointm after resatart, retore point auto deleted?

Please advice me please….

i thought i might get crazy if i didnt solved this before i sleep tonight. any ideas why such a vital option was disabled by group policy?

ya its works..
i did it using regedit.exe
but there is no such thing like gpedit.msc
how can i get this
