ISP-customized versions of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express include custom branding such as the ISP logo, Title bar text, Info Pane at the bottom of Outlook Express window, etc. This article tells you how to remove the Info Pane in Outlook Express if you no longer plan to use it.

Removing the Info Pane
1. From the View menu in Outlook Express, click Layout…
2. In the Windows Layout Properties, uncheck Info Pane
3. Click OK
If the Info Pane gets enabled automatically when you launch Outlook Express the next time, you may need to delete a registry value which holds the Info Pane link.
1. Click Start, Run. Type Regedit.exe and press ENTER
2. Navigate to the following location:
Note: Each GUID string represents an OE Identity.
3. Delete the BodyBarPos and BodyBarPath values
4. Exit the Registry Editor.
