When you generate a System Diagnostics Report using Windows Performance Monitor, it may report that no anti-virus product is installed in the system. Whereas the Windows Security Center or  Action Center (in Windows 7) detects the installed anti-virus product and reports its status correctly.

Symptom: The Security Center has not recorded an anti-virus product.
Cause: The Security Center is unable to identify an active anti-virus application. Either there is no anti-virus product installed or it is not recognized.
Resolution: 1. Verify that an anti-virus product is installed.
2. If an anti-virus product is installed and functioning configure Security Center to stop monitoring anti-virus status.

In Windows Vista SP1/2008 Server/Windows 7, the WMI Namespace "root\SecurityCenter" is deprecated, and programs are supposed to use the new Namespace "root\SecurityCenter2". Refer Alex’s post in comments section in article How to get Antivirus information with WMI (VBScript) – Decrypt my World. The KB980867 clearly states that as well. However, the Windows Performance Monitor seems to use the old namespace and fails to detect the installed anti-virus product. (c.f. useful post by Fisnik at MS Answers.)

MS might fix this issue in one of the updates, and until then simply ignore the Anti-Virus and Firewall part of the System Diagnostics Report.
