Opera 40 has been released with built-in VPN support, along with other improvements. To improve your privacy and security while browsing, all you need to do is open Opera browser Settings page, and turn on the “Enable VPN” option.

This adds a blue VPN badge in the Address bar which when clicked, shows the IP address and the virtual location assigned and the data usage. One of the Virtual locations Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore or United States is automatically assigned depending upon where you’re located. You can still choose a location from the list manually. And the IP Address is allotted from SurfEasy Inc (owned by Opera) VPN’s IP range.
