Note that you’ll can still access the NVIDIA utility via the Control Panel, or by running the command nvcplui.exe from Start, Run dialog.
Removing NVIDIA Control Panel from the right-click menu
1. Launch regedit.exe and navigate to the following branch:
2. Right-click NvCplDesktopContext and choose Export
3. Backup the branch to a .reg file.
4. Right-click NvCplDesktopContext and choose Delete
5. Exit the Registry Editor.

Editor’s note: Unchecking the Add Desktop Context Menu option in the NVIDIA Control Panel only hides the NVIDIA Control Panel entry from the right click menu, but Windows Explorer would still load the shell extension.
