Do you prefer to put your PC into hibernate instead of shutting it down? Here is how to change the default Start menu power button action in Windows 7.
Right-click on the Taskbar and choose Properties. Click the Start Menu tab and select the Power button action from the drop-down box. Click OK.

And the Start Menu Power button action/text has changed.

I prefer hibernate whenever possible (e.g. when I take stretch breaks several times in a day.) and shutdown the PC only at the end of the day or when I find the system performance somewhat sluggish.
