Bottom-Posting in Windows Mail

When you reply to a mail message or newsgroup post, your reply is automatically added to the top of the message. However, if you prefer bottom-posting when replying to an email or newsgroup post, you can configure Windows Mail accordingly.

  1. Open Windows Mail
  2. From the Tools menu, select Options…
  3. Select the Advanced tab
  4. Enable Compose reply at the bottom of the original message
  5. Click OK.

More information: This option did not exist in earlier versions of Windows. However in a Windows XP Service Pack 2 computer, you could create/edit the registry value named Reply At End in order to enable bottom-posting in Microsoft Outlook Express.
