How to replace Windows XP Start menu Search with a third-party search tool
Introduction
This article tells you how to reroute the Windows XP Start menu Search link to a third-party search utility of your choice.
Rerouting the Search
RerouteXPSearch utility helps you reroute the Start menu Search link to a third-party utility (such as Agent Ransack) of your choice.

Download/Unzip/Run the utility, and mention the third-party application path in the text box. Then click Apply. To undo the changes made by the utility, click the Restore defaults button once.
Note
- This tool requires administrative privileges to run.
- This tool is designed for Windows XP only.

Thanks for this , works great if you use the default XP Start menu.
I could'nt get it to work with the Classic Start menu though.
Any chance of a fix ?
