Symptom

When you use the Copy this file or Move this file options from the Common Tasks pane, the Copy items / Move items dialog may open partially off the screen.

Resolution

To resolve the problem, move the dialog box to the center of the screen and resize the Window to your preferred size. Then close the dialog by clicking the [X] button at the top.

If the settings are not retained, manually reset the window placement values in the registry. Follow these steps:

• Click Start, Run and type REGEDIT.EXE
• Navigate to the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer

• In the right-pane, delete the following values:

• Browse For Folder Width
• Browse For Folder Height

• Close REGEDIT.EXE
