Error message when you try to open a MMC Console

Symptoms
- Help and Support Center pages are not rendered correctly, and you receive script errors when viewing most of the topics in Help and Support.
- The menu bar in Help and Support may be missing
- Help and Support launches when you try to open System Information tool (MSINFO32.EXE)
- Windows Update does not work correctly
- When you try to open a MMC console such as Device Manager, Computer Management, Services applet, or Shared folders console, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
MMC cannot open the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\compmgmt.msc.
This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file.

Resolution
Click Start, Run and type:
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
Press Enter

Had trouble for 2 weeks with no System restore, used this and hey presto works fantastic.
The problem I had evn stopped me doing a lot of things like surfing, reading emails and installing new programs including anti-virus. I don't know how much to thank you.

My Windows Search Companion as well as my MMC problem were fixed after executing this run command. Thank u so much for this ultimate solution!

Do I need to restart after this? I typed it and it said succeeded, but then I tried to open the defragmenter and it still says the same thing.
