- Missing tabs in Folder Options dialog box in Windows XP
Symptom
When you open the Folder Options applet in your Windows XP computer, one or all of the following tabs may be missing.
- General
- View
- File Types
Resolution
To restore missing tabs to the Folder Options dialog, download folderopt_tabs.reg from the Attachments section of this page, and save the file to Desktop. Right-click folderopt_tabs.reg and choose Merge. Click Yes to merge the contents to the registry when prompted. Note that you'll need to login as an administrator to run the file.
