When you uninstall a program via the Programs and Features dialog, Windows will display a confirmation prompt by default. Restoring the confirmation prompt

To automate the steps below, download restore_conf_dialog.reg from the Attachments section of this article, and save to Desktop. Right-click on the downloaded file, and then choose Merge.

Click Start, type regedit.exe and press ENTER

Navigate to the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ DontShowMeThisDialogAgain

Backup the branch by exporting it to a file

Delete the value named {948e51fb-0a48-44f0-86ac-33c36def540c}

Exit the Registry Editor
