Introduction

InfoTip provides pop-up text when the user hovers the mouse pointer over a file or folder. By default, the following information are shown in the pop-up text for image file types.

  • Dimensions
  • Date Picture Taken (digital camera)
  • Camera Model
  • File Type
  • File size

Adding the "Creation Date" to the info tip text

To add the Creation Date information in the pop-up text box, use the following steps:

  • Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
  • Navigate to the following location:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ SystemFileAssociations \ image

  • In the right-pane, double-click InfoTip and set its data as follows:

prop:Dimensions;WhenTaken;DocTitle;DocComments;CameraModel;Type;Size;Create

  • Close Regedit.exe
